Footsteps of Faith

I’ve witnessed some amazing things over the past twenty years at South Mountain Christian Camp, and now, I am excited to share those experiences with you through a new book called Footsteps of Faith. This 230-page paperback is available to you, free of charge, exclusively through South Mountain Christian Camp.

Thirty years ago, Camp Founder O.A. Fish released a book called Fingerprints of God. It was met with rave reviews, and readers soon began asking for a sequel. Footsteps of Faith isn't exactly a sequel, but it picks up where Fingerprints of God left off, sharing the story of South Mountain Christian Camp from my own perspective.

The book opens with me hanging off the side of cliff in the Rocky Mountains as a teen. It chronicles my journey through college to South Mountain Christian Camp where I have encountered theft, a destructive lighting storm, a broken leg, and the death of a family member.

But this book isn’t really about me; it’s about God. He has intervened in every circumstance we have faced and proven that He is actively at work in our lives and ministry. Adding to the poignancy, nearly every chapter is followed by a parallel sub-chapter that describes life-impacting moments kids have experienced at summer camp.

This book is also about our supporters. Time after time, people have acted in faith to provide the help, funding, and resources we needed at just the right time. This is why we continually say that our supporters are a vital part of our team. I believe this book displays that truth.
