Strange Parts

I’ve found this same principle to be true in ministry. At South Mountain Christian Camp, God always sends the right support at just the right time—often before we even know we need it. It might be in the form of a donation that comes just when an unexpected expense arises. It might be that someone gives us a vehicle just before one of ours dies. Or, as we’ve seen in great numbers recently, it might be that God sends volunteers our way right when we need them the most.

In the past month, we’ve had volunteers painting the cabins, repairing water lines, mowing the grass, processing camper applications, answering the phones, splitting and stacking fire wood, and just about anything else that needed to be done. Each one brought a unique skill set that fit perfectly into the exact need that we had at the time. And each one was deeply appreciated.

The same is true of you. Your unique skills fit the exact needs that someone is facing right now. You are a crucial part in God’s grand design, and you can make a difference! Even if you feel like a strange part that doesn't seem to fit in, you are essential to God's kingdom.
